POSITION TITLE: Patient Support Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs tasks related to the quality of the patient's environment, including cleaning function of an assigned area, stocking of supplies, and the transporting of patients, supplies, specimens and equipment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High School graduate or equivalent desired.  Must be able to read and write.
• Participates in orientation, annual competencies, continuing education and updates and maintains

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

None

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Clinical setting. Exposure Class I, routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.

WORK CONTACT GROUP:

All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, and various regulatory and professional agencies.

Pay Range: $16.20 - $24.30

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
