*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the needs of those requiring assistance, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients while promoting their independence.
*Duties*
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients’ health status.
* Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
* Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
* Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment.
* Support clients with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and other memory-related conditions.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to each client’s needs.
*Skills*
* Proficient in patient observation and assessment skills.
* Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for effective medical documentation.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills including CPR and catheter care.
* Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation safely and efficiently.
