RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, targeting specific speech, language, and swallowing goals.

Provide therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to articulation therapy, language development therapy, voice therapy, and cognitive training.

Monitor and document patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and home exercises.

Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patients' progress and make recommendations for discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

New passer/graduates and CF supervision are welcome

Previous experience as Sa peech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) is a plus

With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is a plus

Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist

Active CPR Certification

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required

Interest in working with the geriatric population

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
