We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental hygiene services, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the overall mission of our practice.
We offer *no weekend hours* and *Fridays until 2:00 PM*. Our practice is committed to providing our hygienists with the support, technology, and resources they need to provide exceptional patient care.
One of the things that sets our practice apart is our *dedicated hygiene assistants*. Our hygiene assistants help with changing over rooms, sterilizing instruments, and other tasks needed to keep the hygiene schedule running efficiently.
We also offer a *3% non-elective retirement contribution* and utilize the newest dental technology throughout our practice.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist in the documentation review and maintain accurate patient records within our systems.
* Collaborate with dentists to provide efficient patient care.
* Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Utilize medical imaging techniques as needed for diagnostic purposes.
* Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatments.
* Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
*Requirements*
* Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on educating patients about their oral health.
* Strong skills in documentation review and patient assessment.
