Are you an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist looking for an autonomous, hands-on locum assignment in scenic Wyoming? A prominent 25-bed Critical Access Hospital is seeking a locum CRNA to support their anesthesia care team. Offering independent practice across a diverse clinical spectrum—including neurosurgery, OB, pain management, and pediatrics—this position is ideal for a skilled provider seeking high-acuity variety and regional travel options.
*The Opportunity*
Step into a supportive, critical access care environment providing comprehensive anesthesia services across both inpatient hospital suites and a specialized regional surgical center.
* *Clinical Scope:* Manage an expansive, hands-on case mix independently from day one:
* General Anesthesia (Adult & Pediatric)
* Obstetrical Anesthesia (Labor epidurals & spinal management; ~250 deliveries/year)
* Neurosurgery & Complex Spine Procedures
* Interventional Pain Management (including fluoroscopy-guided nerve blocks)
* Advanced Airway Management & Invasive/Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation
* Procedural Support (including bronchoscopy and acute care interventions)
* *Practice Settings:* Primary coverage based at a Level III Trauma Critical Access Hospital in *Douglas, WY*, with periodic coverage at a specialty surgical facility in *Casper, WY* (~45 minutes away).
* *Assignment Timeline:* Immediate start
* *Technology:* Charting and orders managed through *Meditech EMR*.
*Candidate Requirements*
* *Certification:* Active NBCRNA Board Certification required.
* *Licensure:* Active, unencumbered Wyoming State CRNA License or Compact/IMLC equivalent.
* *Life Support:* Active AHA ACLS (required for sedation privileges) and AHA PALS certifications.
* *Clinical Readiness:* Full comfort practicing independently across adult/pediatric general surgery, OB labor decks, neurosurgery, fluoroscopy-guided regional blocks, and advanced airway procedures.
