*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical ailments, focusing on improving their speech, ability to swallow, and overall quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a skilled therapy team, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their speech therapy needs.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
* Identify and classify speech communication and swallowing disorders.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment options.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with medical terminology standards.
*Experience*
* A degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
* Previous experience in outpatient settings is preferred; experience in hospital or home health environments is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
* Familiarity with geriatric care practices is highly desirable.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
