*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated outpatient occupational therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy with experience in neurological conditions, orthopedics, and geriatrics. *Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and cognitive conditions, including physiology, anatomy, cognition and vision evaluations
* Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery outcomes
* Educate patients and their families on exercises, compensatory strategies, energy conservation techniques, and injury prevention strategies
* Facilitate return to work, driving readiness and community reintegration activities when appropriate
* Document treatment progress accurately using EMR systems and maintain detailed patient records
* Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results
* Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy techniques and medical terminology relevant to outpatient care
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice
* Experience in outpatient clinics
* Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and patient management
* Skilled in discharge planning and developing effective care plans for diverse patient populations
* Expertise in occupational therapy for neurological conditions
* Ability to work with pediatric, geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, and medically complex patients
* Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward rehabilitation goals
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the team
