*Job Overview*

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN/LPN - Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. This vital role involves supervising clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Charge Nurse, you will serve as a pivotal point of contact for both staff and patients, fostering a positive environment that promotes healing, safety, and well-being. Your expertise in various medical disciplines and strong leadership skills will drive excellence in our care team.

*Responsibilities*

* Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to care plans.
* Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on clinical procedures and best practices.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation updates.
* Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols.
* Coordinate patient care activities such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, and pain management.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and ensure seamless patient transitions.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA, long-term care regulations, infection control policies, and clinical confidentiality standards.

*Skills*

* Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and memory care needs.
* Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
* Strong background in critical care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers, or hospital medicine.
* Skilled in triage assessment, acute pain management, infectious disease care, and respiratory support including ventilator management.
* Proficiency in ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding for procedures, and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation.
* Experience with long-term care facilities such as skilled nursing or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, suturing, and sterile techniques when necessary.
* Excellent caregiver communication skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care and team collaboration.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
