Description

As the Patient Safety Analyst, you will support various patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, helping to prevent harm to our patients. You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and analyzing data related to patient safety practices, incidents, and outcomes
  • Preparing moderately complex reports to support the Patient Safety team
  • Managing and supporting systems used by the Patient Safety team, such as the SOFI event reporting system and electronic systems for documenting significant event reviews
  • Handling system configurations, user mapping, tracking optimization requests, and troubleshooting concerns
  • Supporting the Good Catch and Zero Harm recognition programs
  • Collaborating with Patient Safety leadership to provide system support and generate reports for the Culture of Safety Survey

Salary Range: $34.96-$71.65/hourly

Qualifications

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-directed individual with:

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of quality, patient safety, or risk management experience
  • Experience in working with large data and analytical support
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret patient safety data
  • Experience with system management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Patient Safety leadership and team members
  • Proficient in basic computer skills using an EHR, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to be resourceful, a critical thinker, and have sound judgement when meeting the service needs of others
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve quality outcomes 
Preferred: 
  • A Master’s degree
  • CPHQ or CPPS certification
